  1. Good morning! As I sit with my morning coffee and LA Times, I spot an article that you might also find interesting! “LA Views from a Bicycle Seat” by Denise Flores focuses on the Ovarian Psychos Bicycle Brigade, a non-profit that supports getting women of color on bicycles, and is involved in community outreach and organizing large bike rides. A wonderful piece! It’s in the “Saturday” section of 7 November. :-)

  2. Hi! Another Saturday, another article about biking! In the LA Times yesterday, Friday, there’s an article by Laura Nelson about bike sharing programs in the city, specifically one that has been set up to serve Santa Monica and Venice. It still has some bugs that need to be worked out, but it’s great to see folks choosing two wheels instead of four!

  3. Hi! I just read an article in the LA Times, 27 December, about finding hidden places in an urban setting otherwise defined by traffic and noise. Nathan Deuel is a writing instructor at UCLA, and he uses his bike to get to school. This also allows him to see things that the rest of us don’t , much as you see hidden gems along the roadway that others miss. (I’d send you the link, but I don’t think I can send it to your blog page.) No matter, and enjoy! :-)
