Alright, a picture while biking today was easy, cuz I went on a great bike ride!

Those of you in Portland are super lucky: it’s the Winter Lights Festival right now!! This is a super fun, free, festive yearly event (dare I call it a function for the extra alliteration? heh) that is delightful in every way:) There is live music, silent discos, fiery hula hoop performances, interactive art installations, food carts, and really cool lit-up things, all over Portland. It is a really nice thing to bike to — in fact, there are even some suggested routes, should you be so inclined to follow a pre-made route to see a bunch of light installations.
Tonight was an organized ride, the Illuminated Ride, that started in SE Portland and rode over the Hawthorne Bridge into downtown, then around and around and around downtown passing various light installations and generally just being our own rolling lit-up spectacle. It was so great:) This kind of thing makes me smile and smile.
And just cuz it was so great, here are some bonus pictures too. I will not have bonus pictures all the time;)
.

(waiting for the whole group to catch up downtown somewhere:)

So good!! The festival lasts until the 15th, so even if you missed it this weekend, you still have a whole week to check it out. Most of the light installations are up the whole time; the live music and performances will be back next weekend!
