Granted, “crazy weather” for Portland is “totally normal mild winter” for many other places, but still. Whenever it snows or ices here enough for things to close (again, by Portland standards), it makes for such a lovely experience of the city. The streets are quiet. People bundle themselves up, walk around, and smile at you on the sidewalk.
It’s like we’re all in on the same secret joke, like we’re all willing to pretend like nothing conceivable can happen when it snows so that we get to close everything and enjoy it for a day or two.
It’s a great time to be out and about, taking it all in:)
Yay for non-standard wintery weather! And yay for the ability to go out and play in it!
